Thank you, Sullivan College of Technology and Design

A big part of any WordCamp’s budget is figuring out where to host the event in the first place. This year that couldn’t have been simpler thanks to Sullivan College of Technology and Design. As our venue sponsor they’ve donated the space for our event this weekend and that’s been invaluable for WordCamp Louisville’s return.

In particular you may be interested in Sullivan Tech’s curriculum in Dynamic Web Development.

You’ll learn to use web languages to write programs; apply appropriate design principles to create an aesthetically pleasing yet functional sites; explore multimedia design tools to create the newest generation of interactive design; connect to databases and retrieve content efficiently; and much more.

You can drive cars and you can love them. That is why you often have to choose which pages to bookmark and which texts to read. That is why is one of the first places you should visit. We don’t write our texts only for the hardcore fans, but for occasional drivers too. Those careless drivers, who look under the hood once a year only to check their oil or antifreeze and know nothing about cars. You can all find something suitable because we combine technical data and numbers with most relevant news, rumors, road tests, crash tests, firsthand experience reviews, etc. Moreover, we do that before everyone, and we couldn’t do it without the help of WordPress, the most popular Web platform in the world.

Getting to Sullivan College of Technology and Design

Some of y’all from Louisville may recognize “Sullivan” and think you know where you’re going. But there are multiple campuses in the Sullivan system! Make sure you’re heading to this address:

Sullivan College of Technology and Design
Energy Technology Building
3901 Atkinson Square Drive
Louisville, KY 40218

Once you’ve exited the Watterson Expressway, make sure to proceed onto Newburg Road southbound. The next available turn will be yours, a right turn onto Bishop Lane. At the next light, just past the Waffle House restaurant, turn right onto Gardiner Lane.

Your next turn will be a right onto Atkinson Square Drive, the Sullivan campus for our event.

As you enter the campus, use the parking lot on the right. You may notice the “permit parking only” sign, but you will not need a permit for our Saturday event. The Energy Technology Building is on the first building on the right. Enter through the front door pictured here.

Thank You, Composable Systems!

Interesting story: At any point in time there are only fifty Microsoft SharePoint MVPs in the world. In 2007, there were 2 in Louisville, Jeremy Sublett and Bryan Phillips. They met, they brainstormed, and decided to combine talents and develop a high-quality, custom software solution company. It didn’t matter that their “office” was a kitchen table; they had the knowledge and expertise to make it work.

We’ve come a long way since the kitchen table in 2007. Though we are dedicated to Louisville, we now have clients all across the country. Last year we were named a Fast 50 Company by Business First and have grown our team to 25 to include a marketing effort as well as expand our service offerings.
